SMCT Dinner Theatre…Back by Popular Demand!
Posted on Tuesday, August 17th, 2010
Come meet Jeeves and Wooster at our newest dinner theatre production. Jake Wolf-Jensen, a Foster youth, has adapted this popular British comedy series for the dinner theatre to debut on September 18th and 19th. Haven’t heard of Jeeves and Wooster? Well, here’s a little introduction:
“Based on the short stories by PG Wodehouse, Jeeves and Wooster is an engaging British comedy about young aristocrat Bertie Wooster, and his ever brilliant manservant, Jeeves. Whenever Bertie gets into trouble, whether it be overbearing aunts, unwanted engagements, or even Bertie’s rougish pals, Jeeves is always there to bail him out. Written in a clever, lighthearted style, Jeeves and Wooster is a surefire hit for the theatergoer with taste.”
Doors open for this catered event at 6pm on Saturday, September 18th and 1:30pm on Sunday, September 19th which will be held at the South Foster Fire Station on Mt Hygiea Road in Foster. Be sure to mark your calendars and make your reservations early! The murder mystery dinner theatre held in January sold out well before the show date.
Reservations must be made by September 10th by calling the Swamp Meadow Community Theatre Box Office at 401-397-4740. Participation in this fundraiser is $30 for regular admission, $20 for children under age 10. BYOB
