*LOCATION CHANGE FOR SUNDAY Swamp Meadow Community Theatre is holding auditions for all fields of talent and performing acts for our upcoming Medieval Winter Solstice Reveal: Get Merry!
Auditions will be held on Sunday, September 17th from 2pm-4pm and Tuesday, September 19th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in 15 minute time slots.
Audition Location :
Sunday – American Legion Hall, 103 Harrisville Main Street, Harrisville, RI (across the Street from Lil’ General, accessible from Burrillville Town Hall parking lot)
Tuesday – The Assembly Theater (26 East Ave, Harrisville, RI)
Please prepare a 5-minute presentation of your act. Performers will have about 5 minutes for set up and clean up so please plan accordingly. If music is incorporated in your act, you may audition with any song, but we ask that you prepare a 70s love song if possible. Bring us your best Carpenters, Manilows, and Sonnys and Chers!
We encourage all types of talent to audition! (dance, sword fighting, juggling, story telling, instruments, magic… to name a few!)
You also may be asked to read from the script. Chosen acts will be incorporated into the play as “villagers” of a medieval town (butchers, bakers, candlestick makers) and will have lines before performing. Characters will be given once cast, but if you have an idea for your character’s job, please let us know. (Example: Last time we did this show, we had someone play the town butcher who played an axe… or an electric guitar!)
Rehearsal/Tech Week/Performance Dates:
Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm-9pm starting October 3rd. Not everyone will be called to every rehearsal.
Tech week will start Dec 2nd. Call time will be 5:30pm on weekdays for tech week. Call time for tech weekends is TBD.
Performance Dates:
