On Christmas Eve, Bedford Falls 1945, George Bailey has so many problems that he is thinking about ending it all. But the prayers of his loved ones result in a gentle angel named Clarence Odbody A-S-2 (Angel Second Class) coming to earth to help George, with the promise of earning his wings.
