Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Look no further. The Man Who Came to Dinner is playing this weekend – December 6th, 7th, and 8th, as well as next weekend– December 13th, 14, and 15th. This three-act comedy is sure to leave your sides hurting from laughter and your face in mask-like state from smiling. The play really is that funny. Written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, you can count on the superior cast chosen by director Cassi DuCharme to wow the audience with their rendition of The Man Who Came to Dinner.
Laura Gibb returns to the stage as Maggie Cutler, sassy yet likable secretary of the incorrigible radio personality Sheridan Whiteside, portrayed by Andy Affleck. When Whiteside slips and falls at the home of the upper-class Stanley’s; he breaks his hip and immediately takes over their home, making a mess of things and turning lives upside down for 6-weeks. Whiteside even hires a glamorous actress Lorraine, played by Ann Affleck, to win the affections of the man Maggie loves. This is the type of comedy you find yourself enjoying tremendously as it rolls along. The cast of The Man Who Came to Dinner is phenomenal – come expecting great things!
